Headings are the outline of your page. When they nest properly, readers can skim, screen readers can navigate, and search engines can tell which passage answers which question. This tool renders your full H1–H6 outline from pasted HTML and flags the two problems that break it: skipped levels and empty headings.
How the Heading Structure Checker works
Paste your HTML and the tool extracts every heading in document order, indenting each by its level so the outline is visible at a glance. A skipped level — an H2 followed directly by an H4 — is highlighted, because it implies a missing section and confuses assistive technology. Empty heading tags are flagged too, since they add structure with no meaning.

A page that goes H1 → H2 → H4 → H4.
The checker flags the H2 → H4 jump so you can promote those H4s to H3.
