Conversion Rate Calculator

Find what share of visitors turn into conversions.

Conversion rate

Conversion rate is the percentage of visitors who complete the action you care about — a purchase, signup, demo request, or lead. It's the clearest measure of how well your page and offer turn interest into results. Enter your conversions and total visitors to calculate it.

How to calculate conversion rate

Formula

Conversion rate = (Conversions ÷ Visitors) × 100

Divide the number of conversions by the number of visitors or sessions, then multiply by 100. Track it per page and per traffic source, because averages hide the pages that are quietly leaking revenue. Small, compounding improvements to conversion rate are often cheaper than buying more traffic.

Example

A landing page had 180 signups from 6,000 visitors.

Conversion rate = (180 ÷ 6,000) × 100 = 3%.

Frequently asked questions

Across e-commerce and lead-gen, 2–5% is a common range, with well-optimized pages reaching higher. What matters most is improving your own baseline — even a lift from 2% to 3% is a 50% increase in results from the same traffic.
