Where robots.txt says what crawlers may access, llms.txt is a markdown file at your root that hands them a curated map of your best content — a summary, then annotated links — instead of leaving them to infer everything from raw HTML. How the llms.txt Generator works
The format is deliberately simple markdown: an H1 with your site name, a blockquote summary, optional context, then H2 sections of links, each optionally annotated with what it covers. Write the links in the order of what you'd most want an assistant to cite, save the output as llms.txt, and upload it to your site root so it resolves at yoursite.com/llms.txt.
